Do you think love is blind?

Many people believe that those in love are often "blinded by love" and unable to analyze things objectively. For those with less relationship experience, it's even harder to recognize their true feelings, and their confidence and accuracy are relatively lower, but this is also human nature.

Maya Aloni and Frank J. Bernieri invited 30 men and women aged 20 to 30 to test whether people could fall in love in a short time when they didn't meet each other.

According to the research results, even if people don't meet each other, they can still develop feelings for each other. There are three psychological environments that can explain why people can fall in love so quickly.

1. Communication plays an important role in building connections. A study published in "The American Journal of Sociology" found that communication is actually more important than it seems. For every minute of additional communication, the significance and effectiveness of words increased.

2. Inability to see the other person's face makes conversations more natural. Psychology Today mentioned a study called "Deviance In The Dark," which analyzed couples in well-lit and dark rooms. The latter's conversations became more open and better able to build interpersonal relationships.

3. People with relationship experience are more likely to fall in love again. Judith Siegel, a professor at the Silver School of Social Work at New York University, pointed out that previous relationships can affect people's judgment, making it easy to remind you of someone from the past.

Judith further stated that even if you have never known them in your life, you would feel that you had some kind of connection with someone in the past, and it might even be someone you once loved. Therefore, the saying "love at first sight" does exist, but most of the reasons are that past relationships affect our objectivity in looking at things.
